911 Enable Solutions Now Rated “Avaya Compliant”
Critical E911 solutions now compatible with Avaya IP telephony and SIP solutions.
Montreal, Quebec – August 15, 2007 – 911 Enable, a leading provider of E911 emergency solutions, today announced that its E911 call routing and emergency location solutions are compliant with IP telephony and SIP solutions from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
911 Enable provides businesses with highly reliable emergency call routing solutions that ensure the safety of their entire workforce. 911 Enable is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with release 4.0 of Avaya Communication Manager IP telephony software and with release 3.1.2 of Avaya SIP Enablement Services, an open, multipurpose routing platform that allows an enterprise to easily integrate multivendor telephony, collaboration and application services. 911 Enable solutions also protect a company’s investment in its existing network endpoints by supporting a broad range of Avaya phones, including digital and analog devices.
“As businesses continue moving towards IP telephony, traditional E911 solutions are reaching the end of their lifecycle,” said Lev Deich, director of 911 Enable. “These solutions cannot support advanced IP-PBX features or employee mobility, leaving enterprises without a reliable E911 service in place. With this successful compliance testing, businesses utilizing Avaya IP telephony can now ensure the proper routing of emergency calls for their entire workforce, including employees working from remote branches, at home and on the road.”
911 Enable is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
As a Gold member of the program, 911 Enable is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
“By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like 911 Enable who are membersof our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. “They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line.”
911 Enable will be showcasing its emergency solutions in booth #529 at the upcoming VoiceCon Conference and Tradeshow scheduled for August 21-22 at the Mascone Convention Center in San Francisco.
