911 Enable has partnered with the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) to form and implement policies that will help improve the nation's current 9-1-1 system
Arlington, VA and Montreal, QC – January 11, 2007 - 911 Enable announced today their partnership with the National Emergency Number Association, better known as NENA. This partnership entails involvement in the NENA Next Generation Partner Program.
NENA's Next Generation Partner Program is a joint public-private working group developed to further the mission of creating safer communities by advancing technology, policy and operations issues through research and planning. To date, the program is supported by 38 program partners, which include key representatives from leading communications companies, vendors of 9-1-1 products and services, and public safety-related associations.
“We are very exited to be part of this pioneering program.” said Mr. Lev Deich, Director of 911 Enable. “We look forward to meeting with other members of the program and helping set the standards for the future of 9-1-1. The world of communications technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that we feel it necessary to take a pro-active stance in ensuring the reliability of the 9-1-1 infrastructure as we move forward.”
911 Enable will also be taking part in the 26th Annual NENA Conference and Tradeshow, scheduled to take place in Charlotte, NC in June. This event brings together industry leaders to showcase cutting edge technologies in the field of 9-1-1.
